Yovanka Loria Stylist Guidelines

Welcome

Welcome to the Yovanka Loria Professional Community.

Our mission is to provide exceptional education, premium hair extensions and ongoing support while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety and client care.

These YL Professional Standards are designed to protect you, your clients and the Yovanka Loria brand by ensuring every stylist has a clear understanding of our expectations and professional practices.

The following standards apply to all Yovanka Loria education, certification programs, approved stylists and wholesale accounts.

Education & Professional Access Pathways

Method Only Course

The YL Hidden Bead Method Only Course teaches the YL Hidden Bead installation method only.

This course is not a certification program.

Completion does not include certification, mentorship, or access to the YL Professional Shop.

Stylists may submit an optional practical assessment to be considered for wholesale access and additional YL Professional benefits.

All services performed following this course remain the responsibility of the treating stylist. Yovanka Loria accepts no responsibility for installation techniques, client suitability, maintenance practices or client outcomes.

Professional Shop Approval

Already an experienced extension stylist? You may be eligible to apply for direct access to the YL Professional Shop.

Approval is subject to the successful completion of the YL Stylist Application Form.

Applications are assessed based on the professional experience, installation techniques, and alignment with YL Professional Standards.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Access to the YL Welcome Pack Course
  • A 30-minute onboarding session with a YL team member to cover important information, professional standards, and answer any questions.

Professional Shop approval provides access to purchase Yovanka Loria products but does not constitute YL Certification.

YL Certification

YL Certification is earned through successful completion of the Yovanka Loria Certification Program.

Online Certification includes:

  • Self-paced education
  • One-on-one mentorship
  • Practical assessment

In-Person Certification includes:

  • Hands-on practical education
  • One-on-one mentorship
  • Practical assessment completed during training

Both certification pathways deliver the same high standard of education, practical competency and client care.

Certification recognises that a stylist has demonstrated the YL installation method to the professional standard expected by Yovanka Loria.

Certified Stylists receive:

  • Ongoing education and support
  • Continued mentorship
  • Eligibility to purchase through the YL Professional Shop

YL Standards

Client suitability should be assessed before every installation.

Recommended installation methods, maintenance schedules, and aftercare should always be followed.

Hair extensions are a natural product and slight variations in colour, tone, texture, and curl pattern between batches are considered normal.

Texture ranges require a more detailed consultation, as maintenance, styling requirements, and longevity differ from the straight range.

A colour test (strand test) is strongly recommended before colouring straight and textured extensions, as results may vary due to the naturally higher porosity of textured hair.

The expected lifespan of the texture ranges may differ from the straight range and should be discussed with the client during the consultation.
